PDA's College Center is pleased to share that Lorrine Evans, 2010 has earned a full academic Mathematics Major scholarship - including books, fees and living expenses to Hampton University which has one of the largest endowments of any university in the country. PDA's Eric McKnight has made it official, signing a National Letter of Intent to continue his studies and play Division 1 basketball at Iowa State University.
This is the second consecutive year that PDA has sent a student-athlete to the prestigious Big 12 Conference.
Last year NPSAA All-American Jon Underwood signed with the University of Missouri where he maintained a 3.1 GPA during his freshman year.
PDA's Cheer Squad, which won the regional championships in Richmond, Virginia moved one step closer to a national title winning the Mid-West Intermediate Varsity
championship downing 275 teams from across the country.

Michael Scott, 2012 has been accepted to Miami University, Flagler College and the University of Maryland. Mike will attend prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he was awarded a $124,000 academic scholarship.
An Honor's graduate, member of the National Honor Society and co-captain of the boys basketball team who carried a 4.0+ GPA for his senior year, Michael also earned a $40,000 scholarship from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Allese Morrison, 2012 has been accepted to her school of choice, North Carolina A&T University. She has also earned acceptance to Delaware State University.
An Honor's graduate who earned a 4.0+ GPA for the entire school year, Allese was a member of the Lady Storm basketball team and was also President of PDA's senior class.
Elizabeth Pope, 2012 has been accepted to Seton Hall University in New Jersey and St. John's University in New York. "Liz" will attend the University of Pittsburgh which awarded her a $120,000 full academic scholarship.
An Honor's graduate and member of the Lady Storm basketball team who will major in Engineering, Liz was also awarded a $44,000 academic scholarhip to Seton Hall.
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND TO FEATURE PDA ARTWORK
The latest creation by PDA art instructor Preston Sampson & PDA's art students (an original, gallery-sized 4' x 5' oil on canvas pictured at right) has created a buzz amongst the area's thriving arts community.
With Mr. Sampson at the helm, Storm student artwork will be framed and featured at a special 10th-year exhibition at University of Maryland's famed David C. Driskell Center for the Study of African-American Visual Arts & Culture.

An Honor's graduate and member of the boys basketball team who hails from the Cayman Islands, Cleve will study Communications at the oldest, private university in the Sunshine State.
Ricardo Ebanks, 2012 has been accepted to Florida Institute of Technology a tier 1 ranked university with programs in science, engineering, aeronautics, business, humanities, psychology, and communications.
A member of the boys basketball team, Ricardo will major in Engineering at the Melbourne, Florida university which is close to his home in the Cayman Islands.
Jamaal Williams, 2012 has been accepted to ASA Institute, where he was awarded a full athletic scholarship valued at $37,200 for basketball.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland and co-captain of PDA's 2012 NCSAA National Championship basketball team, Jamaal will major in Business at ASA's Brooklyn, New York campus.
